AAI Apprentice Qualifications
Candidates applying for the AAI Apprentice positions should meet the educational requirements based on the apprenticeship category they are interested Candidates must possess the relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
- Graduate (Degree) Apprentices: Full-time (regular) four-year degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) in the respective stream or BCA, recognized by AICTE.
- Diploma Apprentices: Full-time (regular) three-year diploma in Engineering in the respective stream or Computer Application, recognized by AICTE.
- ITI Trade Apprentices: ITI/NCVT certificate in Computer Operator Programming Assistant or Steno trades from institutions recognized by AICTE.
- Year of Passing: Candidates who passed their degree/diploma/ITI in or after 2022 are eligible.

AAI Apprentice Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for the AAI NR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is based on merit and document verification.
- Merit List: Provisional selection will be made based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Degree/Diploma/ITI). CGPA will be converted to percentage as per university norms.
- Tie-Breaking: In case of equal percentage, the candidate senior in age (older) will be ranked higher. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with the earlier date of passing will be ranked higher.
- Document Verification & Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for document verification and an interview through their registered email ID. They must bring original documents and self-attested copies.
- Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to the candidate being found medically fit. The medical fitness certificate must be obtained from a Government Medical Officer.
- Final Selection: Candidates are selected based on merit, verification, and medical fitness. An apprentice engagement letter will then be issued. The candidature remains provisional until all checks are complete.
Final selection will be based on the performance in the interview and verification of documents.

The application process is completely online and is conducted through two separate government portals based on the candidate’s qualification. No other mode of application will be accepted. Candidates must first register on the respective portal and then apply for the establishment “Airports Authority of India – RHQ NR, New Delhi”.
- Step 1 (Registration): Register on the respective portal (NATS for Graduate/Diploma, NAPS for ITI) and create a profile. Ensure all details are correct.
