Assam Rifles Recruitment Education Qualification
- Rifleman & Riflewoman Candidates must have passed Matriculation or Class 10 from a recognised Board.
Sports Qualification & Order of Preference:
- First Preference: Represented India in an International Competition with clearance from Dept. of Youth Affairs & Sports.
- Second Preference: Represented State/UT in Senior/Junior National Championships/Games (medal/position up to 3rd). Senior Nationals preferred.
- Third Preference: Represented University in Inter-University competition (medal/position up to 3rd).
- Fourth Preference: Participation without a medal at State/UT/University level (in above categories).
- Fifth Preference: Represented State Schools in National School Games (medal/position up to 3rd).
- Sixth Preference: Awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive.

Assam Rifles Selection Process
The selection process for the Assam Rifles Meritorious Sportspersons Recruitment Rally 2026 will consist of the following stages:
- Document Verification: At rally site with original certificates.
- RFID-based Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, Chest (for males), Weight.
- Motor Ability Test (MAT): As per LNCPE/SAI norms.
- Field Trial: Sport-specific performance test. Candidates must bring their own sports kit/equipment.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Review Medical Examination (RME).
- Merit List Preparation: Based on Field Trial performance and level of participation/preference.
- Provisional Appointment Letter to meritorious candidates.
