The minimum Educational Qualification required by a candidate is to be at least a 12th pass from a recognised Board or University. He/She must be able to produce the required documents when asked for verification after qualifying for the SSC Stenographer 2026 Exam.

SSC Stenographer Recruitment Selection
The SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2026 Process consists of four stages, depending on the nature of the post:
- Computer Based Exam (CBE): Only candidates scoring the minimum qualifying marks fixed by SSC will be called for the Stenography Skill Test.
- Skill Test Qualification: SSC will set category-wise qualifying standards for the Skill Test.
- Final Selection Basis: Final selection will be based on merit in the Computer Based Exam + Skill Test + APAR evaluation.
- Merit List & Allotment: SSC will prepare separate merit lists for each participating Service/Cadre and recommend candidates as per vacancies.
